Scarf & a Snake

I finished Anna's scarf on Sunday.

I immediately started a new project for my oldest son.  He loves snakes, so we looked for a knitted snake pattern together that I could attempt to do.  After taking several tries and several youtube videos to get started knitting on double-pointed needles, I finally got the project going.  Also new to me was doing an increase, unfortunately it wasn't til I was about 20 rows into the project that I realized I might not be doing the increase quite right and that I needed to do both increases to the left and the right!  So, I decided to pull out what I had and start over.  As much as I really, really didn't want to start over I am glad I did.  It looks much better the second time around.

Still reading The Secret Diary of Elizabeth Leseur and I have been reading/listening to Dave Ramsey ~ good stuff!

I am linking up with Ginny's Yarn Along this week.

Glad you're enjoying your hobby. I love crafting, I just wish I was better at it. I should try crocheting again, it's been years! We are doing the Dave Ramsey thing here, too. I need to be more diligent, obviously. Lots of good reminders, as I'm fighting the urge (my husband's urge), to buy a new vehicle. New vehicle = $$, and lots of it :(

I love your header photo!

I have read the diary of Elisabeth Leseur. It is very good reading! and my husband is a big fan of Dave Ramsey. Everything budget or money related is, "Dave says this," or "Dave says that"!

I am excited to see more of that snake! I have knit two for my little people and they were fast favourites so I'm sure it will be a hit - once you get past the initial increase there is probably a lot of the same so it's a great project to pickup and not have to stare too hard at a pattern. Have fun!

Oh what a pretty scarf and your daughter looks so happy wrapped in it :)

Those double pointed needles are tricky arne't they! My socks were the first time using them and it definitely gets easier :) Actually the further you knit and get more length the more stable they become and not so floppy like in the beginning which makes them so much easier to turn around and around! I'm so glad you linked the snake pattern as my daughter has been begging for me to sew her a snake but I'm going to knit one of those! LOVE it :) Happy knitting.
