Hot dogs, Mac n Cheese, time with Grandpa – life doesn’t get much better than that. Throw in a train or two for Jacob, and you have pretty much described a picture perfect day for my boys.
For the past year or so our boys having been going over to my parents house for lunch and playtime on Tuesdays. Often the cousins join in on the fun.
My Dad has a large train layout of HO and O scale trains in their basement. He has slowly been adding to the layout and collecting trains over the years.
Jacob has been a train enthusiast pretty much from the get go. When he was younger he would spend hours playing with Thomas the Train.

My dad has spent many hours creating and designing the layout. While Jacob appreciates the time and effort that goes into creating a layout,
They are so lucky to have this time together, sharing a passion that they love. This is just one of the many ways that home education has provided us the flexibility to spend time on things that are truly important, cultivating passions and growing relationships.
