Weekly Photo Collage :: 1/4/2013 Florida Vacation

We started our Florida vacation a day early in hopes of missing some of the snowy weather hitting most of the midwest/east coast.  Christmas morning we decided to leave that afternoon rather than waiting for the next morning.

It turned out to be a great decision.  Not only did we miss the bad weather, but we ended up having a sick one during the drive and the shorter days spent in the car were a blessing.

We arrived in Florida on Thursday evening and spent the following Friday at Sea World.  The Sea World shows were awesome, the crowds and the weather - not so much.  We still had a great time.

Due to the weather we postponed our LegoLand trip by one day.  The next day was much more sunny, but still a bit chilly.  The kids didn't mind and they loved LegoLand.

Finally we had some warm Florida weather!

Leah celebrated her 7th birthday on New Year's Eve.

No one is ready to go home yet, we have thoroughly enjoyed our vacation.

Next week it's back to real life, lessons, and Michigan weather!

Great memories indeed! Legoland Florida looks NOTHING like the Legoland Dallas! It looks MUCH nicer than the one near us. Is that the place your rented? The last big photo on the bottom? How cool! Glad you are all enjoying this time. How much fun!

yes, that's the house we have been staying in! Reminds me a bit of Gilligan's Island :)

I see these beach posts and get very excited for our trip to SW Florida in January! Looks like a relaxing and fun time. I'm sorry the weather didn't cooperate 100%.... kind of a hit or miss in FL in the winter I think. SO looking forward to meeting you!

Yay, I can comment again! What a dream vacation as far as the wonderful memories you made...kids are at great ages. Funny how the tough moments will be fondly remembered too! Love the photo of your feet in the sand:) Safe travels home and a smooth transition back to the grind!
