Weekly Photo Collage :: 3/1/2013 – It’s March!

I’m so glad that March is here and February is over.  I’ll never understand how the shortest month can feel like the longest month!

The boys arrived home on Wednesday night, a bit delayed due to the snowy weather, from their trip to Vermont.  They had a great time with their cousins and enjoyed all the snow.

Our week was off a bit since they were gone, but it was nice to have some extra time with the younger kids.

We spent a good deal of time reading, doing a little crafting, and just generally hanging out.

Jacob and I have been reading through Treasure Island.  I know it’s considered a classic, but I have to admit I’m finding it boring and a bit hard to follow.  We will both be glad when we can move on to something else.

Around the House:

This past weekend we worked on our basement storage area.  I know the pics don’t show a huge difference, but what you can’t see is all the “stuff” that was lurking behind the couch!  Plus, see that arrow?  That’s an empty shelf!
That’s all the “stuff” I dropped off to the donation center.  Week two of our clutter calendar is checked off.

Fit and Healthy:

Have you had a chance to check out this e-book bundle?  If you are interested in learning more about eating healthy, real food, I highly recommend it!

Blog Happenings:

Today I’m at The Homeschool Classroom and I’m sharing how we keep my husband involved in our homeschool day.

Earlier in the week I shared my morning routine, another inspirational quote, and then shared information and resources to help your family learn more about space travel and exploration.  I even included a couple of free printables.

Don’t forget to sign up to receive my blog posts via e-mail.  It’s easy and it’s free!  Over to the right where it says “subscribe”, just enter your e-mail address.

Have a great weekend and be sure to stop by Homegrown Learners to see what others are doing.

    Doesn’t it feel good to work on organization? I was planning on some time this week… didn’t happen, but I am still reveling in my accomplishments of last week! :) We have had the same problems with some of the “classics”- one I remember was “Swiss Family Robinson”. I have to confess that we often abandon reading the book- sometimes an audio book does better but not always. How fun that your boys got to go on an adventure with grandpa! Glad they’re home safe. I’ll look at that book bundle. It seems like it might go well with our recent healthier focus.

    I bet it was nice to have some time just with the little ones, Jen. Look at all the snow. We had a few flakes. :-( Looks like you had a good week, and you’re organized, too! Thanks for linking, my friend.
