St. Lucy's Feast Day 2010 |
Aside from our Advent adventures, I plan to finish up some crafty gift items and work on tweaking some of our lessons for January. Before we know it, it will be time to hit the books again.
This weekend we are visiting a live nativity, two kids are participating in a TaeKwonDo Tournament, a Christmas Parade for cub scouts, mass, and dinner with friends. December weekends have a way of filling up, I'm glad we have time during the week to really savor the anticipation of CHRISTmas.

I sure do hear you on slowing things down this month. I have hit a wall with our crazy busy schedule. We have one more day of it and then our schedule lightens up and I intent to try my hardest to keep it light. Right now I feel we are out of balance. My goal is to have lots of time at home, working together, and taking the time to celebrate the season.
I am really trying to slow diown this Advent season and put our focus where it needs to be. I am even taking a break from the "formal" studies and we are reading special books, doing special crafts, etc. so my children can realize how important this season of preparation really is.
God bless,
Lisa
I agree, Jen. You also need lots more time to play Words. That is much more important than blogging! ;-)
Seriously, though, I am so thankful to have this time to truly celebrate Christmas with my children. I am trying to remember how we celebrated when they were in school, and it makes me sad to say we didn't do much. Now, we can make up for that!
You have a had a lot of blogging commitments this last month- I can see how you would need a break. Your adoption posts were wonderful and inspiring, and I love your advent post. I'll be sure and refer to it!
Do let us know how the tournament goes!
Enjoy some "time off." I know you will now have time to get to those Bon Bons!

Thanks for your kind comment Tiffany!
After I hire a nanny, chef and housekeeper, I'll start looking for a ghost blogger!!
Lisa, enjoy your Advent!
I could be home every day of the week and be perfectly happy! I don't want the next 4 weeks to go by and us not wonder what in the heck we did. Here's to slowing things down!
The Bon Bons are calling my name for sure...
Thanks Laurie!
