I have shared in a previous post about some of the resources we have used to help the children prepare for their First Holy Communion. Â This year Anna is preparing for this beautiful sacrament. Â She has already done her first reconciliation, {and her second!}, now we are working towards receiving Holy Communion.
We ordered the dress, and all the accessories to go along with it. Â She enjoyed that portion of her preparation very much. Â Of course the party is fun to look forward to as well. Â We continue to remind her that while the dress, and all the stuff that goes along with it, is a very special and beautiful part of the day – the most important part is meeting Jesus in the Eucharist.
Along with some of the resources from the post above, we will be using some other items. Â It’s nice to have the flexibility to tailor each child’s preparation to their particular strengths. Â Anna is definitely an auditory learning, so doing most of her work orally is beneficial. Â Like with Jonah, we have used the CD from St. Anne’s Helper. Â Here are some further items:

Wonderful links! We don’t have any more of our own first communion kids in our future, but I do have grandkids to think about! Thanks for sharing. I had not seen the worksheets or the printing sheet.
